Children of the Snow Land
A unique coming of age journey in the world's most epic landscape.
In the mountain villages of Nepal there is a difficult choice to be made if children are to have an education they must leave their families. Children Of The Snow Land tells this extraordinary true story. At the tender age of 4 years old children are sent to a school in the city to gain an education in the hope that this will mean a better life. While they are at school, the distance from their homes means they have no contact with their families. The children do not see their parents or family again for 12 long years when they reach 16, and they leave their modern life to make the challenging trek back home across the challenging mountains.
