Terence McDonald Inspires: A Celebration of Film, Past & FutureTerence McDonald Inspires: A Celebration of Film, Past & Future

Terence McDonald is one of Northern Ireland’s most important amateur filmmakers.

He produced a range of films from slapstick to social documentary, many focusing on his beloved Derry. Northern Ireland Screen hosts the Terence McDonald collection within the Digital Film Archive where his work sits alongside broadcast, commercial films and other local filmmakers.

Join the Magee Film Society and Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive to celebrate his legacy with a special programme created by Ulster University’s BSc Cinematic Arts students. This event features new student films inspired by McDonald’s work and a screening of a collection of his own films.
