Tender Loving CareTender Loving Care

The latest drama from director Mike Leigh.

As the demands of work and family begin to converge, a social worker (Emmy® Award-winner Kate O’Flynn — Widow’s Bay) and those closest to her discover the strength found in compassion, community, and one another. Set in post-Brexit England, Tender Loving Care is a richly observed portrait of resilience, humour, and the enduring power of human connection.

Palme d’Or winner and Oscar® nominee Mike Leigh (Secrets and Lies) returns with his latest (and likely final) feature film, this mature, heartfelt and devastating domestic drama, showcasing his distinctive cinematic voice.

Anchored by excellent, lived-in performances across the board, the film won the Golden Shell at this year’s San Sebastián Festival where it also won the Jury Prize for Best Screenplay and Silver Shell for O’Flynn.
