Special Screens: An American in Paris
The epitome of glamour, with Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron. Fabulous songs from the Gershwins (Embraceable You, I Got Rhythm) and a climactic ballet sequence that is simply magical.
These screenings are suitable for those living with special needs, such as Dementia, physical and mental challenges, their families and carers. Films will screen with low-level lighting, no adverts or trailers and the audience are free to move around, or sing along to any musical number if they so wish. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits will be served half an hour before the film to give people the chance to meet and socialise, and to familiarise themselves with the venue.
Won 6 Academy® Awards.
