Sounds Like a Boy’s Life: Ulster Orchestra with Tony Doherty
Featuring extracts from Derry author, Tony Doherty's memoirs, This Man’s Wee Boy and The Dead Beside Us, read by the author, and accompanied by The Ulster Orchestra
The music is closely linked to the readings, reflecting those pieces of music, which played an important part in Tony's life in the sixties and seventies, and is a mix of arrangements and specially composed music by Philip Walton.
The Ulster Orchestra is delighted to have Reveah, a local singer- songwriter guesting on one of the evening’s arrangements.
This event is part of EOLab II, a musician-led audience development project supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
