It's Not Yet Dark
Irish filmmaker Simon Fitzmaurice refuses to let a diagnosis of Motor Neuron Disease stop him from directing a feature film using only his eyes to communicate via a computer
An awe-inspiring film about the ground breaking journey of Simon Fitzmaurice, an award winning young Irish filmmaker struggling to pursue his career while being robbed of the use of his body by Motor Neuron Disease (which recently claimed the life of Sam Shepard). Fitzmaurice, now completely paralysed, continues to work as a filmmaker using only eye movement and iris recognition software.
Narration: Colin Farrell.
“A crowd-pleasing message of the triumph of will and art over physical adversity.”
