Better Watch Out (NI Premiere)
Ashley travels to the suburban home of the Lerners to baby-sit their 12-year-old son Luke at Christmastime. She must soon defend herself and the young boy when unwelcome intruders enter
Best described as Home Alone meets Michael Haneke’s Funny Games, the sadistic horror comedy Better Watch Out is the kind of film that’s tough to categorise but easy to enjoy, especially if you like watching teenagers do
some very twisted things for the holiday season. When you think the suburbs, you think safety, but this holiday night the suburbs are anything but safe.
Ashley (Olivia DeJonge) thought this babysitting job was going to be an easy night, but the night takes a turn when dangerous intruders break in and terrorize her and the twelve-year- old boy, Luke (Levi Miller), she's caring for. Ashley defends her charge to the best of her ability only to discover this is no normal home invasion.
“Frightful and delightful.”

“Director Chris Peckover takes the typical tropes of the home invasion film and flips them all, the result is a film filled with surprises. No small feat within this particular genre. A Christmas-set twisted thriller that keeps you guessing, Better Watch Out is a future stand-out. Fun, frightening and festive, add this to your ‘to watch out for’ list now.”
